I am a young writer from the UK, born to Italian/Portuguese parents and raised in Bedfordshire. I grew up surrounded by music and dance, coming from an inspiring musical family, which then led to my passion for it.
I began working on a music show reel and in July 2003 and I was signed as a songwriter to Universal Music Publishing UK and since then I have been writing songs and collaborating with various UK, Swedish and American artists and musicians in the industry. I also became a dance teacher in a College in the same year, teaching Street Dance and Salsa Aerobics classes. Dancing was also a huge part of my life after learning to dance on my Fathers feet as a child and then enjoying years at dance school.
I started writing my first novel entitled Dance Shoes, Dreams and Lattes, in 2004 and finished it a year and a half later; it was a fantastic journey for me, of realisation and adventure. This novel is about a girl with big dreams and devotion, mixed with passion and desire; she leads us through love and friendship and does her utmost to get where she wants in life. It is published through PublishAmerica and it’s official release date is 10th September 2007, it’s available to buy online and in local book stores.
I then went on to write my second novel, Who Slept In My Bed? Which, came about when I entered into the National Novel Writing Month 2006 and successfully superseding the required word count, I became a 2006 winner and received a certificate. It’s a story about a forensic scientist wannabe, who discovers that housemates are not always trustworthy and tend to sneak into your room when you’re away! Evidence proves the guilty party in the end. We follow Amanda’s life as she unfolds who slept in her bed!
I shortly followed completely my third novel Secret Agent Lipstick, a story about a young woman who, in short, purchases a lipstick at a local market and discovers that this lipstick has special powers and she embarks on a journey of invisible encounters and speedy decisions!
Finishing my fourth novel, Life Is Like A Plate Of Pasta… You Never Know What Sauce You’re Gonna Get! was really exciting. It’s about Peppi Fontanelli, she falls in love with a gangster, whom which her strict Italian father forbids her to see, and of course she ignores! We follow her as she tries to get over Marco by taking a trip to America and join her on her adventures, only to return to her worst nightmare!
I am currently in the process of pitching my unpublished novels. I love writing, the beauty of it is that you can step into new shoes and see the world through different eyes every time you put pen to paper or finger to keyboard! The imagination is a wonderful thing! I also recently entered two short stories into the Writers Digest Annual Writing Competition and continue to be inspired by life and write as many songs and short stories as I can.
Some of my favourite and inspiring authors are Sophie Kinsella, Helen Fielding, Jane Green and of course Marian Keyes to name but a few. Reading all these wonderful works and many more gave me the inspiration to want to write myself.

Ok the bitch, Crystal, from work, is doing my head in!
She’s slowly but surely giving me a reason to file a formal complaint at work for emotional abuse! I mean, how long must I tolerate her incessant insults and under her-breath comments?
How long do I have to endure her spiteful gestures and constant attempts to get one over on me! I swear, one of these days I’m going to Aikido-up her ass!
She is seriously pushing my buttons and soon enough I won’t be responsible for my actions. She sent an email around the office today, inviting everyone but me to a work related bonding lunch, more like a pointless ass licking session! She knew I’d find out about it! She’s so malevolent, but I will not play into her ugly hands, I’m a tough cookie. She wants to play rough… we can play rough! Grrr!
All this frustration has only fuel my fire and the single, most effective way I can see myself releasing some of this highly pent up chi is to write a song, before I do something I’m going to regret! Although, whilst I don’t intend on claiming it will be one of my best penned tunes, it will help get things my chest and give me the freedom to vent, I’m working on my handling skills! I’ve decided to call the song Killing You Harshly… Apt don’t you think?!
Perhaps I’ll write it, vocal it and send it to her email address via mp3. That will be ultimate payback. I’ll even pass it around work so everyone will know how much I detest this woman.
I might put out an anonymous post on the bulletin board at work saying Crystal Rose Has Ugly Toes under a picture of a monkey’s feet! Perhaps I’ll add donations for a wax treatment are appreciated! I don’t know what’s come over me, I’m not usually the Lara Croft, kiss ass type, but I will whoop butt if I need to! Seriously, she’s got me so crazy she’s almost put me off my morning coffee!
